So I got on the river early this morning with only a few hours to fish. I brought the bamboo and really wanted to fish drys but cold, darkness, and high water made me think I should prob deep holes for big fish instead.
I have been playing around with these tube fly creations. I like how they are coming along.
I only caught one fish, but sometimes, one is all you need.
Fishing for big trout in this river is like fishing for a different species entirely. You better be there at dawn or dusk and commit to throwing meat. If you get one any other way, in my opinion, you got lucky.
Oh yeah, first trip first fish of 2014. Not a bad start.
